What suppor

Welcome to our collaboration with Loughborough University. Ohana collaborates with different universities to support parents and guardians across the country, guiding them through their child's transition to university. This support continues throughout the entirety of your child's university journey.

In an effort to help you adjust to your child moving to University, we offer support in preparing prior to your child departing. We have formed a virtual community for parents and guardians to share advice and have discussions with each other, along with a series of virtual events that walk you through a variety of topics, including mental health and managing stress. One of our key focuses is connecting parents and guardians to build a network of support. However, we also provide tools to help you stay connected with friends, family, and partners, as well as maintain their relationship with your soon to be or now long distance child to relieve any worry about how they are doing.

We don’t stop there! We provide a parent and guardian support pack that includes a range of tools that can be picked up move in day. These resources are designed to tackle all the causes of empty nest syndrome. One focus is encouraging you to shift from supporting your child’s dreams to pursuing your own. Be proud of your success in raising your child—now it's your turn. Consider the goals you’ve always wanted to achieve. We’ll implement this through a collection of reflective tools designed to alleviate the sense of loss of purpose some parents feel on move in day.

Our genuine language, everyday abbreviations, and handwritten notes create an approachable, informal tone, making you feel like you’re chatting with a close friend. This fosters a strong connection between our brand and our audience.
